Seed Saving and Making Seed Paper

Come join us at the 2022 Wisconsin Permaculture Convergence and learn about saving seeds and make some seed paper to take home with you. In this session Cheryle will guide you through looking at different plants and the ways that they make seeds. Session participants will make seed paper using native seeds that they can take home with them.

Cheryl DeWelt

Cheryl DeWelt graduated from UW Madison and is the Madison Children's Museum environmental education and garden manager. Cheryl has over 30 years’ of experience educating about permaculture, nature, and the environment. She plants and maintains all of the museums gardens and green spaces which include vegetable gardens, flower gardens, herb gardens, mushroom logs, aquaponics, native pollinator gardens, fruit trees, and chickens. She uses all of the gardens to model replicable best practices and educate about sustainability, nutrition, seed saving, and the importance of organic, local food systems.
